PRESS: Intl authority turns down Finland's claims against Rosatom

MOSCOW, Dec 26 (PRIME) -- An international council for resolution of disputes has turned down Finland's financial claims against Russian nuclear power corporation Rosatom over the Hanhikivi-1 contract cancellation, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachyov told news daily Izvestiya on Monday.

"The customer cancelled the contract, the first part of court hearings has been finished. An international arbitration consisting of representatives of only Western European countries ruled unambiguously. Firstly, it denied the Finnish side presentation of financial claims," Likhachyov said, adding that the deal cancellation was ruled illegal.

According to Likhachyov, Rosatom will pursue return of its investment.

The executive separately said that the amount of Rosatom's exports will exceed U.S. $10 billion in 2022, rising about 15% on the year. The 10-year portfolio amount is seen stable at $200 billion.
